TRAIL 501: NAPIER HISTORIC WINERIES
A popular Cycle Trail from our base in Napier visiting historic wineries, two local pubs and the Filter Room for Boutique Cider & Beer. Enjoy a leisurely tasty lunch along the way.
Allow 5 to 6 hours plus, a pleasant 25 to 39 km ramble along pathways and flat terrain.

TRAIL 503: FAMILY TRAIL – WINE & CHOCOLATES
A family trail – the majority of this ride is road pathways with places of interest for every family member. Fabulous lunch options in tranquil settings, chocolates a plenty to suit everyone’s taste buds at Silky Oak Chocolates & Cafe.
A pleasant ramble along flat terrain, cycling 14 km. Allow 3 to 4 hours.

TRAIL 505: PUKETAPU LOOP
A very popular Family Trail cycling the Tutaekuri Riverbanks on way to explore the quaint village of Puketapu.
Visit Mission Estate, Church Road and Moana Park Wineries, Puketapu Hotel and Duke of Gloucester. A great choice of places to eat that offer indoor or outdoor areas to soak up the atmosphere depending on the weather.
Optional: Day Light Saving excursion from 3pm to 7pm. stop of and have dinner at the pub! ( your cost)
The terrain is flat. Puketapu Loop is 25km and 29km if you visit Silky Oak Chocolates. 14kms one way from Puketapu Pub

TRAIL 506 MISSION & CHURCH ROAD WINERIES
This tour has been designed for those who are short on time or just want to experience the ambience at two of New Zealand’s older wineries enjoying wine and delicious food, if desired take a guided tour and learn the wine making process – lots of options to choose from

TRAIL 507: AHURIRI WILDLIFE ESTUARY
MISSION WINERY
Your ride takes you on an adventure – the majority of land was water prior to the Napier Earthquake of 1931. Cycle through suburbs, peaceful country side, view the wildlife estuary, maybe watch a plane or two landing on the runaway at Napier Airport – If you wish stop off at Mission Estate Winery on your way back to base

TRAIL 508: WINE, ALE & CIDER
1.7kms to 2kms from our base at Greenmeadows are two historic wineries, a very popular family pub in Taradale for Cider, Beer and other beverages – then a ride in the country to the Filter Room & Café where beer and cider are made on site – further down the country lane is Hawke’s Bay’s oldest boutique winery whose owners are very passionate about the wine they produce.
You decide the distance you want to ride 6.6kms or 13.8km or 22kms
Allow 3-4 hours.

TRAIL 613: GIMBLETT GRAVELS / NGATARAWA WINERIES
Enjoy New Zealand’s best red wine as you meander along 98% off road pathways in the rural setting of Gimblett Gravels experiencing the awesome cellar door hospitality of up to 9 wineries. An excellent selection of Cafes and Restaurant at Villa Maria Wines
Flat terrain. Approx 5 to 6 hours.

26kms Drop off at Chesterhope Cycle Bridge if you want a longer ride – pm collection at a place that suits you best.

TRAIL 716: KIDNAPPERS COAST
You have the option of cycling both ways or one way – or being dropped off at two different points to shorten your ride!
Ideal for families – 90% of this ride is off-road and river bank pathways. Fantastic scenery, rivers, sea, estuaries, lots of cycle bridges to cross. Passing through Haumoana Village where you have a 2 km cycle by road to the cycle pathway beside the sea that will take you to the Te Awanga Village where you will find four wineries to visit depending on the time of year, three wineries offer delicious menus. The local pub and Hygge Cafe which is situated close by the sea at road end are both great options to visit. Art & Craft outlets to explore and lots more.

TRAIL 718: HAVELOCK NORTH WINERIES & ACTIVITIES
Drop off in the village of Havelock North, a 2.8km bike ride that is flat terrain with a slight elevation when cycling through the picturesque suburb of Havelock North on way to the outskirts of the village where you will find a cluster of 5 to 6 wineries and three activities to explore.
You have the option of being collected at a time and place that suits you best, or continue your ride for 7.7kms along the Riverbank cycle pathway which follows the majestic Tuki Tuki River viewing farmlands, horticulture, orchards, vineyards, collection from Black Bridge car park.

TRAIL 719 HAVELOCK NORTH & : KIDNAPPERS COAST
Coach drop off and collection or the option of cycling back to Bike About Tours base
Terrain is flat for your cycling adventure today – mostly designated on and off road pathways.
In amongst the rolling country side on the Havelock North boundary you will find a cluster of 5 to 6 wineries and 3 activities to explore, then onto the cycle pathway which follows the majestic Tuki Tuki River. On arrival at Black Bridge cross the river via the cyclist bridge then make your way to Kidnappers Coast pathway cycling through the estuary, the river on your left and onto the open sea, take time at the end of this pathway to view Napier in the distance. Time to explore the popular Kidnappers Coast with its spectacular coastal views, wineries, gourmet delights pub and Hygge Cafe, Art & Craft outlets as you cycle through the quaint villages of Haumoana and Te Awanga…
16km, 19km and 24km or 43km one way options.

Your cycle tour departs from Bike About Tours base at Greenmeadows, Napier or if being collected and we have your bikes on board we go directly to the Cycle Trail of your choice.
If requesting a pick-up, suggested collection times are 9.30am & 12.45pm. Other times by arrangement. Accommodation collection and drop off outside stated areas POA.
Afternoon collection trails from Napier: Trail 718 Havelock North Wineries 4.00pm Trail 719 and 716 Havelock North & Kidnappers Coast 4.15pm Trail 613 Gimblett Gravels 5 to 5.30pm. Please phone 45 minutes prior to the arranged time for your collection at a place that suits you best (not pathways) Thankyou!

We have held the bike hire costs again this year, we haven’t included credit card fees in our prices as we don’t want those paying by online banking in advance or cash on the day to incur this additional cost. We ask if paying by Credit Card: an additional 3% surcharge to cover bank charges – Thank you!- We accept Visa & MasterCard.
