The first Historic Winery to visit is 1.7kms from our base - Mission Estate and 2.1 kms is Church Road Winery, both have long standing reputations for producing award-winning quality wines. At the cellar doors the helpful team members will introduce you to the range of their fine wines. Restaurants offer award winning cuisine in their tranquil surroundings and peaceful atmosphere - all there for you to enjoy!
Stop off at the Duke of Gloucester& Restaurant, the local pub, then to Silky Oak Chocolates - enjoy a chocolate or two, -watch the process of chocolate making or meander around the museum or maybe a bite to eat and coffee at the café..
Trail 501 includes the popular River banks Puketapu Loop - Cycle Trail 505 refer to this Trail page for heaps of information. ( Includes Moana Park Winery. Puketapu Hotel & Restaurant, Flying fox for those who love adventure) Cycling the riverbank pathways and enjoy the views of the ever changing country side
At the Filter Room sample the boutique beer and cider made on site, An awesome outdoor area under the fruit trees. Your last adventure for the day is cycling the country road to Brookfields Vineyard who have a great reputation for the fine wines they produce
Please ensure you book the wineries and lunch venue prior to the days cycling, if you don’t do this there is a possibility of being turned away on the day

Bike About Tours provides top of the range bikes, most bikes are fitted with gel seat covers, handle bar bags, panniers for your wine and other goodies, bike stands, key padlocks for bikes. We supply first aid and puncture repair kits; a detailed map of the Cycle Trail of your choice, helmet or you can bring your own. High visibility vests are not compulsory – we have them in stock if you wish to use one. Note: The majority of our Electric bikes don’t have handle bar bags!
