Please Be Aware

Wine, beer and cider tasting fees are your cost. Fees vary from $2 to $10 depending on the number in your group. You will also pay separately for lunch and any activities along the way.

Special permission has been granted by land owners to cycle through vineyards, please respect their property and close all gates where applicable. Please check with the  winery or activity staff to ensure it is ok to have a picnic in their grounds if doing so.

All cyclists must comply with New Zealand Road Code for Cyclist when hiring a ‘Bike About Tour’ Bike. Note: Visitors to New Zealand – it is compulsory to wear a cycle helmet! We strongly encourage you to read more about cycling safely here.

We Provide

Bike, panniers, handlebar bags or baskets, bike helmet (you are welcome to bring your own helmet.), high visibility safety vests, water bottles, a key lock, informative map full of cycling instructions, puncture repair and first aid kits. Coach back up in the unlikely event of a bike breakdown OR if you run out of pedal power OR you have four or more bottles of wine and other goodies to be collected.

CAN I BRING MY OWN BIKE?

Yes. If staying at Greenmeadows on Gloucester – home of Bike About Tours – your bike will be secured in our bike shed with no charge. When doing tours with us a price adjustment can be arranged if you wish to enjoy your cycling holiday on your own bike.
