Highlights                                                

Just want to go biking?   and enjoy the peaceful surrounding of this  new pathway trail in the country side on the outskirts of Napier, passing by farm lands, orchard, vineyard, two new retirement villages Golf course and streams.  On arriving at Te Awa Avenue  turn right and  you make  your way to Awatoto beside the sea, from here you have the option of a 3km ride to Clive, time to  explore  this small coastal village and maybe have lunch, on your return (10.6kms) you join the Tutaekuri River Bank Pathway to Johns Road  where you turn inland and make you way back to Bike About Tours Base (2.5kms)         Or if you still have pedal power continue on the pathway and make your way to the Duke of Gloucester for a quite drink before you ride the final 3 kms back to base

Route
A fantastic Trail, lots to discover as you wind your way via the inland foothills through farmlands to the Wetlands where you will find wildlife a plenty. Pass the Napier airport, farming and orchard areas on your way to Bay View.

Options to visit Snapper Café at Napier Beach Holiday Park or *Crab Farm Winery, then cycle Coastal Pathways – Beacons Reserve to Westshore, Ahuriri, Downtown Napier, enjoy the new iWays via  St Georges Drive to the  suburbs of Marewa and Tamatea,  Park Island to enjoy the view then to Mission & Church Road Wineries cellar doors before returning to base.
